As Systemic Psychotherapist I'm trained to work effectively with individuals, couples and families. You can find more information about each of these therapies in the sections below.

What is systemic psychotherapy?

Systemic psychotherapy looks at difficulties in the context of your relationships and life situation, rather than seeing the problem as something that sits only inside you. It’s based on the idea that we are all affected by the people around us – family, partners, children, work, culture, and past experiences – and that stress or distress often shows up within these relationships and contexts.

Instead of asking “What’s wrong with you?”, systemic therapy asks “What’s happening between people, and around you, that might be making things harder than they need to be?”

What is it helpful for?

Systemic therapy can be especially helpful if:

  • You’re experiencing relationship or family difficulties

  • A child or teenager is struggling and it shows up in, or feels linked to family, school, or transitions

  • The same problems keep showing up in different relationships

  • One person seems to be carrying a lot of stress for others

  • You’re dealing with big life changes, such as moving countries, separation, or becoming a parent

  • Difficulties feel tied to culture, upbringing, identity or past family experiences

Sessions may involve individuals, couples, families, or important others depending on what’s most helpful. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of the underlying factors and patterns, and to support meaningful change in relating, communication, and emotional wellbeing in ways that feel sustainable and realistic in everyday life.

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, we’ll take things at a pace that works for you, exploring what’s really going on—whether it’s those old patterns that don’t seem to budge or the more immediate challenges you’re facing. We’ll look at how your relationships, environment, and past experiences might be influencing things. Therapy is a space where you can truly be yourself, without judgment, and take the time to reflect, make sense of things, and experiment with new perspectives, new ways of being and doing. My aim is to help you understand yourself more deeply, and figure out what feels right for you, in your own time.

Each session will be unique to where you are that day. We’ll typically start by checking in on how you’ve been feeling, and/or what’s been on your mind, and then dig into whatever you feel is most important to focus on.

If you're unsure of where to begin, that’s completely normal, and it’s okay. We’ll take it step by step, and I’ll be there to guide you as you uncover what feels most important. Initially, sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly, depending on what makes most sense.

Standard fees for individual sessions are £85 per 60 minutes, with the option of 90-minute sessions. Longer sessions can be especially supportive as they give us the space to consider multiple perspectives, gently notice patterns as they unfold, and take the time to begin exploring different ways of approaching difficulties.

Sessions are currently online only.  I offer a small number of reduced-fee spaces for clients who would otherwise be unable to access therapy. Please let me know if this may be relevant to your circumstances. I am also able to accept insurance from Aviva, AXA PPP, Vitality, and WPA.

Couples Therapy

In couples therapy, we’ll work together to create a space where both of you can openly express yourselves and feel truly heard. Relationships often go through rough patches, and it’s completely normal to feel disconnected or stuck at times. Whether it’s communication breakdowns, unresolved conflict, or simply feeling distant, my role is to help you both understand what’s beneath the surface and build stronger emotional connections.

We’ll explore how your emotional needs and vulnerabilities are impacting the way you relate to each other. We'll focuss on fostering a deeper connection and sense of trust, so you can feel understood, safer and more fulfilled in your relationship. We’ll also look at the bigger picture—how external factors, past experiences, and family dynamics might be influencing the positions you each take up in your relationship.

Together, we’ll explore your emotional cycles and what triggers them, helping you create some distance free from unhelpful patterns and explore healthier, more authentic ways to interact. The aim is to create a space where you can reconnect emotionally, feel safe to be vulnerable, and communicate in a way that strengthens your bond.

Each session will be tailored to your needs, and we’ll work at a pace that feels comfortable for both of you. Sessions are typically weekly or fortnightly, depending on what works best.

Standard fees for couple sessions are £110 per 60 minutes, with the option of 90-minute sessions. Longer sessions can be especially supportive as they give us the space to hear everyone’s perspective, gently notice patterns as they unfold, and take the time to begin exploring different ways of approaching difficulties together. Sessions are currently online only.  I offer a small number of reduced-fee spaces for clients who would otherwise be unable to access therapy. Please let me know if this may be relevant to your circumstances. I am also able to accept insurance from Aviva, AXA PPP, Vitality, and WPA.

Family Therapy

Family therapy is about creating a space where everyone in the family can share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences—where we can all explore what’s really going on beneath the surface. It might be conflict, communication struggles, or something else entirely, but the goal is always the same: to help you understand each other better, find ways to work together and feel closer to one another.

In our work, we’ll look at how each person’s experiences, needs, and roles shape the family dynamic. It’s not about pointing fingers or placing blame—it’s about discovering the patterns that are keeping you stuck and finding new ways to relate. Together, we’ll explore what’s really happening and figure out how you can make changes that feel right for everyone involved.

I’ll support you to have conversations that can be challenging but also rewarding, as we work towards developing deeper levels of understanding, trust and togetherness. Family therapy is about listening, being open, and finding ways to support each other, even when it’s tough. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for your family, and we’ll focus on what you need most. Sessions are typically weekly or fortnightly, depending on what works for your family.

I currently offer online family therapy sessions at a standard rate of £135 per 60 minutes, with the option of 90-minute sessions. Longer sessions can be especially supportive as they give us the space to hear everyone’s perspective, gently notice patterns as they unfold, and take the time to begin exploring different ways of approaching difficulties together.
